As some of you know I fell off my bike when I crashed it at the weekend (it's okay you can laugh at the image of me flying through the air and then hitting the floor and sliding along it for several inches). Trying to relax and get better, but it's not working very well. I slept a bit better last night and don't feel as much like a zombie as I usually do. But I'm still in some fairly serious pain.

I have started to notice that I say "but" a lot, especially after commas and fullstops. Surely there's a synonym?

By the last night in San Fran my wisdom tooth was playing up again. My only one. Top right. It often played up for a couple of days at a time - no huge worry at first. Got on the plane home, pain got worse. Bought aspirin in Detroit airport - it didn't help ( Read more... )

So today was my last day in the Performance team. On Monday I start a new role in Core Design. Shortly before 11am today about half the office gathered round my desk to embarrass me with a card, some money and a speech. Someone said nice things about me and then I had to say something too. This morning I had physio. He prodded lots at my neck and relaxed that a lot. Then he held my head in the right posture and said I'm to keep it like that as much as possible. So I walked back home like that and my shoulders and neck felt much looser. Then I drove to work and felt much more positive and in a better mood than yesterday. After work I ( Read more... )

Well as some of you may know I've been seeing the physio for about 6 months now and I'm still not a whole lot better than when I started. Yeah, I'm stronger - but I'm still in lots of pain a lot of the time. Google have finally got round to putting Derby on streetview! So now you can see my house and my work, which I am sure the security guys are not going to be happy about, but Google have upset other people over streetview too - including various car manufacturers!
