Katie and I arrived at my flat and within 5 minutes there was a knock at the door and a policewoman wanted to talk to me. Said that someone saying they lived in my flat had written to the council complaining of noise from the flat above. Wasn't me though. So today was my last day in the Performance team. On Monday I start a new role in Core Design. Shortly before 11am today about half the office gathered round my desk to embarrass me with a card, some money and a speech. Someone said nice things about me and then I had to say something too. I'm in Germany! Having a fun time in the sun. Only bad things are back/neck/shoulders playing up and hayfever being bad. Otherwise it's all fun though.

So I made in to Stansted airport in record time of 2 hrs 15 mins. Am surviving on about 2 hrs sleep. Struggling to finish the beans on toast I ordered for breakfast ( Read more... )

I just went on the Luge! It's cool. I have a photo to prove it.

I just cooked some proper food instead of eating out or eating packet crap. I am feeling better.

I might go to Arrowtown now for a walk. Maybe I'll find some more LOTR locations.

I just got back from Deer Park Heights - they filmed lots of Lord of the Rings stuff there for Rohan. I stood in the place where Aragorn was dragged off a cliff by the Wharg. I went to the edge and was sad to see grass below and not a huge chasm with a river in the bottom ( Read more... )
