So I'm at Franz Josef Glacier and I went heli-trekking today. It was AWESOME.

Up until today the swimming with dolphins was the best thing, but today this glacier trip beat that. But not by a whole lot.

Am going to try uploading photos to flickr.

I just went on the Luge! It's cool. I have a photo to prove it.

I just cooked some proper food instead of eating out or eating packet crap. I am feeling better.

I might go to Arrowtown now for a walk. Maybe I'll find some more LOTR locations.

I just got back from Deer Park Heights - they filmed lots of Lord of the Rings stuff there for Rohan. I stood in the place where Aragorn was dragged off a cliff by the Wharg. I went to the edge and was sad to see grass below and not a huge chasm with a river in the bottom ( Read more... )

So today I went for a walk in the hills round Akaroa in the morning, then I got back and had some lunch at the hostel. Now I've got an hour and a half until my bus and I'm not sure what to do with my time. It looks a little brighter though, so maybe I'll head back outside ( Read more... )

So yesterday I came to Akaroa on a bus from Christchurch after KT dropped me off there (she's going to a wedding today on North Island). I'm staying in a hostel where they have internets for $4/hr. So I'm writing this quickly so I can get things done ( Read more... )

So to catch you up on the flights and stuff. I had a spare seat next to me on the flight from the UK to Dubai, so I managed to get about an hour long nap. Then on the next flight (14 hours) I had a smelly arab next to me and didn't get a wink of sleep. I did watch lots of films though. Then I didn't sleep after Sydney either ( Read more... )

So I got here around 11 hours ago. I had a bit of a sleep and I'll be going to bed again soon.

The flights were really long. The worst one was from Dubai to Sydney because I had a smelly Arab next to me and I mean REALLY smelly. Birmingham to Dubai was ok because I had a spare seat next to me and could stretch out.
