As some of you know I fell off my bike when I crashed it at the weekend (it's okay you can laugh at the image of me flying through the air and then hitting the floor and sliding along it for several inches). At the time I thought the only physical damage to me was a multitude of scrapes and bruises on my legs and a bit of a graze on my right elbow.
On Sunday I woke up and my right shoulder was hurting (I think I landed on it first). On Monday I woke up and my shoulder hurt even more. I went to work anyway. On Tuesday I woke up in agony but went into work because I had a fairly important 9am meeting that would be tricky to rearrange.
So I went to the docs on Tuesday after work and he said rest and take cocodamol and rest lots (Cocodamol is paracetamol and codeine in one tablet). It's pretty good for making me forget the pain, it just makes me forget lots of other things too. Like what I'm meant to be doing from one moment to the next.
So I had yesterday and today off work rested and took pain killers. This afternoon I got bored of sitting around doing nothing so I drove to Homebase and ordered 2 new wardrobes and picked up some paint swatches. While I was there I went next door to Sainsburys and bought milk, a dvd and a card for the wedding I'm going to on Saturday.
I've also ordered a digital radio alarm today so that I have a radio in the house again for the first time since I moved.
Mrs Cake posted about turtles in Wales a bit ago and I just read it and for some reason it made me think of sailing and how much I'd like to try it out and possibly learn how to do it. I've found out you can do training courses at Carsington, so I'm going to look into that.
