The carpet has all been vacuumed. The sheets have been changed. The counters have been cleared and dusted. All that's left to do for the guests arriving later today is some "spot" cleaning in Gavin's bathroom. Hooray!

Now that it's all "spic and span" here's hoping we can keep it that way.

Got some more cleaning done in the computer room. The coffee table is now almost completely clean again. I even organized the non-fiction shelf (needed to be done to get several books on the coffee table to fit on it again). I finished giving the yard a much needed "haircut" yesterday. Now it is up to hubby to do the weed eating and edging. I've used a lawn mower before, but I've never used a weed eater/edger. The yard looks much nicer. I would have liked to not cut it quite so close, but I couldn't adjust the wheels on the lawn mower so it got a close shave. That's ( Read more... )

I'm working on getting ready for my parents to visit this weekend (and to have company in the house mid-June for Nathan's wedding). I finally took some stuff I had been meaning to donate to Goodwill today. A bag of clothes I don't wear any more, including my few maternity clothes I had left. I figure it was a pretty safe bet that I could get rid of them since I haven't needed them in three years. If I need some later I'll get it then. I'm kind of proud of myself today. I actually got busy this morning and did some needed cleaning in the house. There sure is a lot less dust now. I only have one room left to dust in (master bedroom) because druidmage was asleep and I didn't want to disturb him.
