Laptop is safely back, and hopefully fixed. They got rid of Norton, which was apparently causing problems, and installed BitDefender, which they say is a lot better and shouldn't fuck with my system. Also, it's apparently safe to get rid of all this ThinkVantage crap, so, hurray. More room for games and dumb shit ( Read more... )

Well, the laptop has been dropped off at the shop and they'll run a diagnostic to figure out why it randomly decides to not run certain programs, takes five or ten minutes to shut down, and so on. Thursday is Farmer's Market day. That is, the city sets one up in a church parking lot on my block, and it's awesome.
