We put Sydney to sleep this morning.

She was a lovely doggie, and she lived a good, long life. Our years with her were wonderfully full of wagging tails, sympathetic heads-on-the-knee and hot-breathed begging for table food.

We will miss her every day.

Tomorrow, March 20th, Fred Rogers (aka Mr. Rogers)would have turned 80. In honor of this auspicious occasion, his former "mailman" and lifelong friend, "Mr McFeeley" (I don't know the actor's name) is asking everyone to wear a cardigan, turtleneck or cable knit sweater. I booked my bus to get to psyche_ars' wedding!!! Yes, Claris and Anya, I am taking the *bus*. Of course, it's this bus: http://www.limoliner.com but it IS still a bus (and, believe it or not, it was cheaper than taking the train at the same time! :-)

...than in the emergency room. :-( Sox jumped down off of Max's bunkbed and landed on Max's face, more or less. He got a big gash from just to the left of his nose right up to his lip, and a few smaller ones around his lip. Make sure when attempting to cut out a stubborn mat in the fur of a tempermental Maine Coon cat, that all OTHER cats are out of the vicinity. This will ensure that no spooking takes place, and therefore there will be no awkward miscutting of the fur resulting in the equivalent of a Pebbles Flintstone 'do on said cat. *cringes*
