Some sad news
I will post all about Max's bar mitzvah tomorrow-ish, but I wanted to get out of the way the sharing of some very sad news...
After we got home from all of the festivities late last night, Kyra's bunny TaraBooBoo died very suddenly. She hadn't seemed ill to us, though I will honestly say that because she was not a very nice bunny I generally had as little to do with her as possible. I was sound asleep when Jeff and the kids got back from his parents' house and whatever happened, happened while Jeff was putting her back in her cage but it really is mystifying as to why she died. Sigh... poor Kyra was wracked with guilt because though she tried to bond with BooBoo, she was a very difficult rabbit. We tried to tell Kyra it wasn't her fault at all, that BooBoo had lived a tough life before we got her (we got her from Rabbit Rescue), that she wasn't a young bunny and that we made the life she had with us as fun and pleasant as possible. But Kyra was still devastated.
A really sad ending to an otherwise simply wonderful day. :-(
