I'm home now. I arrived a few hours ago. I didn't get a chance to post my pictures from my wanderings at the Botanical Gardens. I liked it there. It's mostly a large nice place to walk around, perhaps picnic. The orchid area was nice since it was so flower focused and had such a wide variety of species including some hybrids they created there ( Read more... )

Last weekend a bunch of us went to Johor Bahru, Malaysia for some quick shopping. It's literally a skip, hop and a jump from Singapore.

I went to the Jurong Bird Park the other day. It's basically a zoo for birds. Well ... no ... it is a zoo for birds. It's also a breeding spot for mosquitoes... deet ignoring mosquitoes.

So far, of all the places I've visited outside of Singapore, Beijing is my favorite. There is a lot of history there as well as art. The people were less friendly than in Singapore but there was a sense of there being more going on than just shopping. Poop made a new friend in the airport who coincidentally was on the same flight as us. They sat together on the flight. I must have dozed off because when I dloaded my pictures from my S400 I found the pictures behind the cut. !! I really don't know what to do with Poop. He's such a bad monkey!
