My freesia started blooming finally today. I've been watching them working their way towards it for weeks now.

The blossoms are out in full bloom right right now. There were a few hiding beneath the tree that looked desperately like they wanted me to take pictures of them. So I did.

I'm home now. I arrived a few hours ago. I didn't get a chance to post my pictures from my wanderings at the Botanical Gardens. I liked it there. It's mostly a large nice place to walk around, perhaps picnic. The orchid area was nice since it was so flower focused and had such a wide variety of species including some hybrids they created there ( Read more... )

Last weekend Chuck, Brehn and myself went to the Golden Gate Park in SF. We had hoped to go to the museum/aquarium but it seems that it has been shut down for remodeling that is going to take another 5 years. We wandered around a bit, ate some food and had a slightly less eventful day than we had been planning.

Usually I like to seperate out pictures that I think might be worthy of the title photography (according to my own definition) and post them slowly as I have time to consider them and alter them. I just realized that the two times I've lost photography the majority of what I've lost has been in the month of April. When I got laid off last year I had a bunch of photography on my work drive because my HD at home had failed and as a result of that failure I had lost a bunch of stuff from the year before, most of April and some random weeks ( Read more... )
