I'm not sure if this is the place, but throwin' some ethical/sustainable eating links at you;
Sustainable seafood: You can search by fish/seafood type and it tells you how they're caught/farmed and if they're in danger. I haven't eaten flake since I found this but I sure miss it sometimes
Ethical eating resource; I haven't explored this one too much, but it has great rundowns and criticisms/praises for different companies and their contact details. You can search different foods for info about how it's made (and products too, like feminine hygeine) and it has a list of boycotts with their reasons. Amazing site.

I'm sure there are similar resources out there, I hope people post some.

A very brief... brief from Bilkent University. Yes, we're still with the pyramid over there.

A 7-page document from the Ministry of Health. Has a similar 12-step program as to what's up there.

I am not vegan or vegetarian, but I super enjoy everything at Post Punk Kitchen and Cheap Healthy Good. There's lots of vegetarian/vegan recipes and all the ones I have tried are delicious.

I'm just really, really hungry for ribs and have been for weeks. Watching "Barbeque Pitmasters" yesterday didn't help much.

And I can't wait for Thursday, because hello, turkey and mashed potatoes. (Specifically, Mom's mashed potatoes. All the others suck and don't even get me started on that instant crap.)

I've been wanting bbq for so loooooooong. The local PBS always shows this BBQ cooking show and there's a travel show called The DayTripper where this guy drives all around Texas and eats all this yummy bbq and it drives me insane. Unfortunately I'm friendless and have no driver's license so I can't get any. :(

My family a few years back had to dramatically reduce the amount of salt in our diet (my grandma has hypertension). It was pretty much the best thing we ever did for our health. I don't even miss processed food anymore because fresh is a billion times better.

back when i was a teen, my father was diagnosed with diabetes and high blood pressure and it was GOODBYE SALT in my house. i missed it soooooo much but i noticed that i always forget to salt my food while cooking and i never really mind it. a little salt goes a long way when your tastebuds readjust.

We phased salt back into our food, but in moderation. Avoiding salt when you eat out is so hard though.

That happened with my family too. My grandma moved in (she had a stroke and couldn't live on her own anymore) and so we started eating a lot less processed stuff and making things from scratch.
