>Buck finds out his boyfriend of six months, Tommy, is the very same Tommy who ran out on Abby Clark (Connie Britton's character from season one), Buck's first love.

this is so stupid lmao

it really was. Those writers need to stop taking inspiration from bizarre fan theories. Like no way did they even think of this until fans started blowing this up online based on nothing more than both characters being named "Tommy". There was zero point to this, especially when that screentime could have gone to fleshing out the breakup/relationship between those two characters.

when this theory first started i thought it doesn't make sense because abby hadn't showed signs of dating another firefighter at all and writers just browsing the internet for weird theories to put in the script is not a good look

I like hot priest. Can they do that thing where they recast somebody as somebody else. And make him a love and interest for Eddy. lol.

I have to laugh at people saying that Oliver is biphobic because he wants his character to date more/have sex. I get that season one buck used sex in an unhealthy way. But sex is not inherently bad. You can have a lot of sex and it be good and not a sign something is wrong with you.

Also have to laugh at the people that say that the writers room is homophobic because they broke up. Lol. Tommy got the same treatment as multiple loving interest in this show. I personally am just upset that buck can never break up with someone. Can he be the one to initiate it next time?

That glee little speech was so heavy-handed.

Lol the fact that the only people saying Oliver is biphobic are Tommy fans says to me that they don’t actually care about this (it’s also stupid, how is it biphobic to want him to be single and explore his sexuality), they were just waiting to turn on him because he “never supported the ship like he should have.” Let Buck fuck!🔥

They wanted Oliver to mourn with them, I think. Maybe the "let Buck fuck" could have waited a week but they fooled themselves, there were definitely some previous interviews w/Oliver that strongly suggested this was not his endgame

Yeah, exactly, they're just angry that Oliver never thought of this ship as endgame, which it wasn’t and was never meant to be! He just didn’t lead them on so of course they latched onto Lou who was acting like this character was more than he was meant to be (which is a stepping stone for buddie). Personally I laughed at let Buck fuck! Like, Oliver has always made it clear that he cares that Buck is bisexual, and that he doesn’t care about Tommy. I love that for him lol

At this point I hope Buddie happens solely because the Buddie shippers have been INSUFFERABLE since Tommy showed up. And sure there were a few crazy Buck/Tommy stans but them complaining about this is like that spiderman meme. Nobody's more toxic than the Buddie shippers right now, unfortunately.

so long Tommy, we hardly knew ye. I will say the actor actually did some good work in the breakup ep, he sold that. Before that I wasn't too impressed.

The actor who plays Eddie keeps giving interviews talking about how Eddie is straight and that he thinks it's great to show a straight guy and a bi guy (Buck) being best friends and not having Buck's coming out arc change that. I really don't see Buddie happening, and tbh with how unhinged some of the stans are, I hope it never does.

oh god, i really hope you're right because i really don't want ryan fucking guzman involved in a queer relationship on any show ever. oliver handles this all so well and ryan would for sure show his goddamn ass.

I mean, I feel like at a certain point the show would do anything for ratings, so who knows! But this article has some quotes from Ryan Guzman that really don't seem promising

The Glee stuff was so funny. “You got to come out in a post-Glee world” like as if we have marriage equality because of Glee or something.

Glee wasn’t Will and Grace.

By this show's own timeline Tommy did all that (the racist workplace behavior towards Chim and Hen as well as knowingly using Abby as a beard) in a post-Glee world. So what was the point of that all lol

That speech had me legit googling if they were gonna reboot Glee bc it was just a little Too Much for Ryan Murphy shows mentioning each other.
