TMI...

Today I had a gynae appointment... the continued hunt for my old and roving copper IUD. The second trans-vaginal ultrasound of my life was much less physically uncomfortable than the first one, though I was completely unprepared for it. I did not know it was going to happen util 15 minutes before it did, so I had a small panic attack in a busy waiting area. The staff were incredibly sensitive, and it was very useful that I had my notepad and pen with me.

I was offered an exploratory laprascopy (which may or may not turn into open surgery). I said I'd think about it; I may want to get everything sorted if and when I have a hysterectomy and/or ovary removal. I may want to have no surgery at all bar chest surgery; I may want to just leave that little bit of copper in my abdominal cavity wherever it is. (It is in there somewhere according to a semi-recent x-ray.) It is not doing me any obvious harm at all. It was good to talk these things through with the gynaecologist.

I treated myself to lunch at Yo Sushi, then walked home. Half-way home I was hit by a brick wall of despair and loneliness. I made myself a fantastic chilli/orange cocoa at home, and I'm just about to wrestle the desktop in order to produce some Bi Coffee London leaflets.

Bisexual Underground tonight! You don't have to be bisexual to go (just like with Bi Coffee), just be bi-friendly. I'll be there this evening, with Lovely Rita my travel bear.
