i normally doodle in long boring meetings. last week, though, i took to trying my hand at some haiku. i remember learning about this poetry form in junior high. you needed 5 syllables for the first and last lines and seven for the middle. the rule, from what i remember, is the last line should not follow the first two. i find this to be rather ( Read more... )

yesterday was the first game of the season for smokin' aces. i was able to get to the complex relatively early, which was nice. i was worried i would hit lots of traffic, but i seemed to have found the best way to get there in the least amount of time. most of the route is counter-commute, which is a plus. so, we met up and warmed up a bit.
