My spice/herb drawer is starting to feel slightly respectable. I actually went to ultimate practice this morning (for the first time since the last outdoor season). Had to relearn all the old skills of throwing into the wind, throwing with the wind, and how to cut and stack. mashugenah ran a couple of drills and explained thoroughly how a vertical stack works. I work on level 23 of a 26 story office building near the waterfront. Because there's another road parallel to the one my building is on that is a good seven stories or more above road level by my building, I rarely notice how high I am. Exciting news - I'm an aunty! My sister gave birth to my nephew around 8am this morning. He's two weeks early, but already 8lb8oz. Both parents and child are doing well. I haven't received any photos yet, but this is very cool. This is the first nephew/grandchild/great-grandchild in the family.

Wellington has been gorgeous today. Hot and still - we opened all the windows and doors and only closed them around 8.00pm tonight. I walked down and back to my haircut and colour.
