Did not mean for so much time to pass between posts. Been a busy couple months, in a good way.

Been a relatively warm but altogether dry summer. In late May and June, we went more than 20 days without rain- highly unusual for that time of year. I even had to water my outdoor potted succulents. Twice.

Figures. I thought for once I had dodged the germ bullet. Nope. Last Tuesday, I woke up congested. By the next evening I had developed a cough. Whee. I've lived in Northeast Ohio all of my life, and the wild variances of the weather still astound me. Last Saturday, the temperatures barely made it out of the single digits. Yesterday? Well, so much for the expected slowdown :P Things have slowed down... a bit. I had a nice Christmas day with family (a bit nutty and eclectic, but that's nothing new). Up until last week it was unseasonably warm, but fall is finally here. I had to move my plants in on Wednesday, and I saw people posting pictures of snow- we're talking an inch or so on the ground - earlier this week, mainly in the Cleveland area. Wow.
