I didn't get the job I posted about earlier, but I *did* get a job, and it is with working with children. Kinda. I'm the receptionist (I think my official title is Front Desk Closer, or something like that) at a daycare/learning center. AND, on an upwardly mobile (crossing fingers) note, I have a job interview today working with kids...even if it doesn't work out, I'm putting myself back out there. SO, I'm feeling way better today than when I wrote the last entry!

and a burning question arises. What in the heck is so fantabulous about Find-A-Word/Word-Circle/Hidden-Word puzzle books? These things go flying off the shelf. Why? There is like zero challenge to looking at a grid of letters, maybe 10 x 10, and finding a five letter word. Whoop-de-doo. Are they so popular because they are so brain-numbingly easy? My TB test came back negative, but since I haven't had one in over a year (more like 25) I have to have a follow-up next week to make sure I didn't register a false-negative. Whatever. not for a real job that pays cash. This is a volunteer position at one of our hospitals. At least it will get me off my lazy ass one more day a week even if it doesn't help pay the bills.
