So I got tired of vids with haunting music and oodles of angst. Sue me.

It was sung by Kenny Rogers, on television, sometime between 8/82 and 5/84 (I'm leaning toward the latter part of that range). It was for some special; no idea what kind or why. Anyhoo, I remember chunks of lyrics and even the tune, but cannot find the song anywhere. I've googled bits of lyrics that I remember, mais rien.

I remember buying this CD for my niece for Christmas. She would have been about 10, so I guess that's right. Wow. Tempus fugit.

Kinda funny to read the true confession comments on youtube.com from former adolescent boys who had a crush on lead singer Taylor, not realizing that "she" was a "he." Oops. LOL
