I've planted a line of fir trees along the edge of the road.  I've got a hose out there to water with.  I've also put moss around the base of each of the trees.  It's taken five bins of moss and I've still got a few more to do ( Read more... )

I have been for three or four or five walks around the house on the deck today. I start feeling uncomfortable and get up with my walker and either go downstairs and out onto the deck to walk around it, or I go out on my balcony ( Read more... )

I have moved the carpet from the septic area to the porch deck. Mosquitoes come up through the slats, so I've made it impossible for them! Ha! At least they can't come up underfoot! (under my dress is more like it ( Read more... )

I washed and hung out on the railings and chairs on the deck two loads of laundry. I really like using the deck. It's a nice work space, too.

I need to move my clothesline, as it's not working where it is anymore. Another project for another day.

I have replaced three parts of the boards on the porch deck which are rotten. I cut them off at the next joist where they were good. I went to town and bought a 2X6X8. I realize now that it wasn't the right size. I guess it's bigger than the one before. Perhaps thaqt one is a sawmill size, the real measurements instead of corporate cost ( Read more... )
