Yesterday was the day of remembrance. Loss awareness day. I remembered all our little babies who left too soon. I have a yucky cold, my throat hurts and I wake up coughing green. Gross. Bad timming. Why would I get sick while on mat leave, when I am home all day, rather then at work when I deal with the homeless and nearly homeless all day long? Irony.

I have a sneaking suspicion I will have to be  watched for post partum depression. I don't know if it's the pregnancy hormones, me not being able to deal with things properly right now but they catch up to me anyways or low key depression, but I have been pretty down. Today was our meeting with the pathologist, perinatal specialist, family doctor and midwife to go over Evan's final autopsy results. I feel very good about it and still a little shocked ( Read more... )

Well we finally got the call back from the hospital executive who was looking into our autopsy. She said we should have our full report within 2 weeks and gave us the name and number of the coroner who performed it in case we don't. Well it took 14  hours to do the 10 hour drive from Maine to NYC today. That was all because of stupid Connecticut where the traffic was horrendous and the people were rude, one guy cut Dave off, then when Dave wouldn't let him back in again, he flipped Dave the bird.
