Sunny and around 60°F. Cache placement activity on Long Island was rather high last week, although having 20 new geocaches in one week is not a rare occurrence there. I did geocaches in the northern half of the island during the daytime, turned around at Stony Brook, and continued with geocaches in the southern half at night. Colder day than the day before. Sunny and around 50°F. Went to Long Island to continue visiting geocaches around Yaphank, Middle Island, and Ridge, after first finishing a few new geocaches that got listed since the last weekend. Hot humid day. Slight threat of rain but it never happened. I went to Southaven County Park in Brookhaven on Long Island for The 6th Annual LIGO Summer Picnic Event. Cloudy day. A bit cooler than the day before. There was a threat of rain later in the afternoon but it never happened. I headed out to Long Island. Today, I did a mascot gig at Shea Stadium for American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Of course, since the weather was good, I did some geocaches in the morning on my way to the gig. WHY?! On Saturday, I went to a flash mob geocaching event, WWFM 3 - "Cachin' Cow Harbor". It was unusual and fun. Until 1pm, we hung around at various locations in the park, pretending not to know one another. Then, at exactly 1pm, we converged to the center of the park.
