Friday was a rainy day. I hadn't been to Lehigh Valley in quite a while so there were many new geocaches that were close to parking and doable in the rain. Ran into BillyPilot at a cache site so I wasn't the only one out in the rain. Took the day off since it seemed like the only day this week with good weather. I went geocaching in Westchester. The main purpose of this trip is to do a bunch of geocaches in Sprain Ridge Park while parking is still free at that park. According to the weather forecast, there was a 90% chance of rain on Saturday. So I planned on doing a bunch of easy geocaches in Westchester. Well, surprise! The day was sunny and 60°F. Cloudy with a slight drizzle. 34-37°F. It snowed the night before so I was wondering if I would have any difficulty finding geocaches in Westchester but the snow cover turned out to be only an inch thick at most and even that was melting away as the day went on. Cloudy. 40 - 45°F. I hadn't been to Dutchess County for about a month but so many new geocaches have popped up in the Beacon area that I was able to make a day of it. One good thing about Thanksgiving Day is all the local roads are quiet.
