So today is another shitty hot day without air conditioning because people on this side of the state don't believe in such things.  They also don't believe in positioning apartment buildings in such ways as to take advantage of any wind.  And I woke up with a bit of a headache after a night of needing an ice pack on the back of my head.

Stayed up until the wee hours of the morning looking, yet again, to see if I could get any information on the Thoroughbred stallion Autobot, born 1983, won three big stakes races in 1986, had a race at Hawthorne Race Course named after him for a number of years.  Also found his pedigree...but that was it.  I have, or used to have, one of the Blood ( Read more... )

There were a couple interesting happenings today.

Tons of people suddenly showed up in town, including this guy and his friend on their horses, with a pack horse and pack mule and two Papillons in tow (the Papys rode in dog beds on top of the packs).  His friend was on a mustang descended from the Pryor Mountain mustangs, and they are doing a ( Read more... )

I'm trying, unsuccessfully, to get a picture of Madeline playing with the TY guinea piggie I bought her today, at the same garage sale I got a 'new' leather computer chair.  That's the SECOND 'need' that I've been able to get for a fraction of the price before I move (the other being the free brass and glass table that will be an excellent TV stand ( Read more... )
