Madeline and I have been on the CBD oil for a month now, and both of us have improved.  Madeline has recovered entirely from the diarrhea and side effects of the medication, and aside from the occasional 1/6th of a Zantac she's off her herbal medications entirely.  Tho I do still have them just in case.  Only side effect of the CBD has been...yes ( Read more... )

So about 5 days ago, Madeline was having the runs - and runs to the catbox.  She was also hyperactive and had a puffed up tail, like when something has triggered her hyperesthesia.  I happened to have a couple hundred left 'cause I hadn't paid all my bills yet or bought food for myself, so I took her to the vet ( Read more... )

So I've also been reading a blog about TBI, and researching the other little parts of my brain atop the stem that obviously got damaged and have been ignored by the doctors in favor of assuming I'm developing diabetes and thyroidism because of weight....instead of the doctors putting the pieces I've told them over the years together and noticing ( Read more... )

GARDEN NEWS: Will be a container garden, up along the chain link fence of the garden area in my 'new' (as of last March anyway) apartment.  Like my first garden, it is several stories below my apartment at ground level, but this one is fenced, and the only dangers to my plants are squirrels and loose dogs.  And their owners.  And the other ( Read more... )

Because the fire alarm alerted us all to an actual fire.  In the laundry room, one of the dryers.  Smoke poured out from under the roof and everything.  And again, many many many questions about Madeline on her leash.  She was alternately being affectionate toward strangers, shivering, 'calm', and freaked out by the fire trucks and firefighters.  I ( Read more... )
