I had been in a sour mood lately because of all the house business. I don't think I wrote about this but we've been putting in bids every week with no luck. It was getting really frustrating and I didn't want to talk about it.

Edward and I looked at some more houses on Saturday and found another one we really liked. ( Hopefully some good news )

I didn't sleep at all last night. I kept thinking about the house and our bid and what fixes we would make to it and what we would put where and such. I tried not to think about it, but it's so hard. Today was slow at work but hectic for me. I emailed my realtor Art yesterday to set up an appointment for tomorrow to see a couple of houses. Tomorrow is my day off so I'm going to look at houses. Again. So far I've prolly seen around 75 houses (I looked through all my papers today and counted) since Thanksgiving and of those only 4 or 5 did we like enough to even consider and those ended up being under contract already or we lost the bid. I'm growing tired of this.

So I found out the house on Bayliss (the one without photos) went under contract yesterday. I guess we need to put a bid on the spot like we did with the first house back in December. It's getting really aggravating finding out every house we are interested in is taken the moment we try to put a bid in. And we don't want to go into a bidding war ( Read more... )

Friday Ed and I went for a bike ride through town. We ended up at Hermann and Sons for a little bowling. It has been around since the fifties and the nostalgia shows. The lanes are worn and bumpy. This morning I woke up around 6:45 all snotty-like. I couldn't fall back to sleep and I didn't want to wake Ed up with my sniffling, sneezing and fidgeting so I decided to head to work even though it's my day off. I had a good day and a great night. Got news from our realtor that the owner is considering our new offer which is $95,500 and she only pays $1700 in closing costs. It's more money up front for us but a lot less in the long run.
