My delayed mini Fuck Cancer celebration happened today. Mom and Dad didn't feel like going, but they gave me money to buy Kavi and her accessories! Katie took me up there. Ultrasound was fine. The weird lump is a cyst, and probably harmless. I just need to keep an eye on it and note any changes. It doesn't hurt, so I'm probably good for now. I still have my annual mammogram plus breast ultrasound after Easter. I'll also have to mention it to my oncologist in June, even if it's not serious ( Read more... )

The French Dispatch is wonderful. It's the usual mix from director Wes Anderson- quirky characters, bizarre situations, colorful set pieces, and a bunch of great actors. This one is a love letter to literary magazines and newspapers. There are four separate stories forming what becomes the final edition. It's weird, wonderful, and often hilarious. ( Read more... )

Mom's birthday was a week ago. We went to see the musical Bright Star at the Riverside. The show has bluegrass music written by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell and it was wonderful. The Riverside does such a good job with all of their shows.

Courtney's T.V. and Fitness set is insanely adorable. The details on the T.V./VCR are amazing, and the pre-programmed little scenes are well done. They even added static and colorbars!

I had my follow-up with the oncologist today. Once again, everything looks fine, and I don't have to go back until February! Two full years in remission now. The worries I had earlier this month were really nothing, but it was a good idea to discuss them. I know what to look for if anything changes ( Read more... )

I'm at the guest house at St. Mary's Hospital with my mom. It will be easier to get to my chemo session in the morning. It's really nice.

Round two begins next Tuesday. Today I had my pre-infusion exam and blood test. I saw a PA instead of my oncologist, but he'd seen me before and knows what's going on. He said everything looks good health wise, and despite the hair loss, I look normal and pretty healthy. I'm good to go on Tuesday. Any changes in my blood, they'll let me know ( Read more... )
