It's been raining all day and I feel a sense of impending doom. It is officially the last day of summer for me. Beginning tomorrow, it's back to studying all the time. At least summer was fun. Since I finished AHEC, summer has been filled with more trips than I can keep track of. First was Orange Beach... we laid out in the sun being lazy all day, checked out the FloraBama bar, and ate at Live Bait. I love the beach. It was nice to get to hang out with Laurie. This past weekend I went to gulf shores for the first time in quite a few years. When I was little, we took week-long family vacations there every year. So this summer I am working in a doctor's office, mostly just following them around and practicing on my physical exam skills. It is really laid back. I don't have to be there until 9 and usually get out before 5 (sometimes after lunch). This week was very fun but very tiring. We held the annual "Camp Tiger", which is a week long summer camp for kids with mental and physical handicaps. My camper was an 11 year old named Garian, who had Asperger Syndrome (a mild form of autism).
