I've been really busy all week, leading projects. It's the kind of thing I think about from when I get up in the morning until I'm too tired to think about anything, including uploading photos or keeping up with LJ. But I'll catch up with those things in due course.

I just realised: I'm time-rich right now!

This normally comes with being financially poor-for the last decade or two, I've either had enough money but not enough time, or enough time but not enough money. But I've been saving for a long time, so while I need to be careful, I don't feel financially poor.

I took the job in the City. Google were dragging their heels, and even if I'd waited for an actual offer, that still wouldn't necessarily mean I'd get to work on Google Maps, which to me was the most exciting, existing-job-offer-trumping possibility. The other company sweetened their offer in the hope of a final decision by me, and I accepted.

I'm at Jon's place in Canberra right now. It's the first morning in weeks that I didn't wake up and have to deal with something straight away, either work, a bad dream somebody had, having to check out of a motel, or whatever. Instead, I took a hot bath and realised how wound up I am. So much for relaxation.
