My boss's dad died today, about an hour after I got to work. I was there when she got the call. One of the older ladies was sympathizing; she'd lost both her parents too. I was mistaken for a mother today at the polling station. A couple with a baby walked in before me, and while they were both at the machines with the baby and I was standing about ten or fifteen feet away, one of the volunteers came up to me and started giving me advice about what to do if the baby gets fussy.
