Heard from Algonquin College today. I got accepted into the Chef Training program. So, I will be a full-time student again starting in January. SQUEEE!!!!

I've done it! I have finally submitted my application to Algonquin for the Culinary Skills - Chef Training Diploma. My first choice is the online program, where all the theory courses will be done online from January to May. The first 3 weeks of May will be on-campus to finish those first courses and then the last 12 weeks of the program will be on ( Read more... )

I called the University on Monday...and was told that I have to submit an application. No, I can't go in to talk to someone. But the woman I spoke to was pretty sure I'd get advanced standing for all of my courses. So, as far as I can tell, I am missing at the most 17 courses. I am not moving to Barbados this fall. In fact, I don't think I'm going to move forward with that plan for a few more years. The big reason for this: my grandma and great-aunt are getting older (almost 84 and almost 90 respectively) and I don't think they're going to be around much longer. I did it. :) On June 4th, I graduated with my General Bachelor of Arts (three years) with a Minor in Music. And here's the kicker: I managed to graduate Cum Laude! I am so darned pleased with myself. :D ( Read more... )

I got the final grade for my Philosophy course. I got a B. I am very pleased with that mark, considering I only went to one full lecture all semester. It also means that I am officially graduating in June. I have met all the requirements of my program.

I now have a B.A.

I heard back from my prof: I got an A on my second paper and an A+ on my exam!

With everything that happened with my mom, I also don't think she docked me any marks for participation and attendance.

I am a terrible student :D My final take home exam for my Philosophy class is due tomorrow. It's an essay...and I haven't even started it yet. Oh my...I'm probably pulling an all-nighter. Add to that the fact that I still haven't written the 8-10 page paper that is due in my English class. I have until April 27th to finish that ( Read more... )
