Taking the plunge...
I've done it! I have finally submitted my application to Algonquin for the Culinary Skills - Chef Training Diploma. My first choice is the online program, where all the theory courses will be done online from January to May. The first 3 weeks of May will be on-campus to finish those first courses and then the last 12 weeks of the program will be on-campus, cooking 5 days a week. I am UBER excited!!!!!!!
In other news, I have scheduled the date for my piano to be moved in (September 23) and it is being tuned on September 24. I will have my piano in my apartment, in playable condition in less than 2 weeks! I am also uber excited about that!!
This Friday I get to go pick up my hockey tickets for this season. Yippee!
In 28 days, I will be back in Barbados. I can't wait. :D And with going back to school in January, this will be last trip for a year or so. Although, if all goes as planned, I will be able to spend my 33rd birthday on the beach. :D
Oh yes! Yesterday I bought the new Underworld CD. I'm not sure about it yet...there's one song that is absolutely blowing me away (Louisiana) and a couple of others that are quite good (Bird 1 and Always Loved a Film) but the rest...well, I'll just keep listening to it and it will grow on me. I found that with their last album (Oblivion with Bells) that it also took a few listenings to really appreciate it.
