Writing day today, and I decided to head out to do that. Went to Perfecto's Cafe, next door to where I work, and settled in to finish writing the King in Yellow story I've been hacking away at for some weeks now. And a busy day ensued as well: had a dental appointment, just a routine cleaning, nothing drastic. Clean bill of health: no funny spots that needed to be patched up. At last, a free day to take the bus to Lowell and run some errands there! Took care of some bank stuff, went to St. Joseph's for a visit and to pick up the next issue of Magnificat magazine. End of summer picnic today at Mary Immaculate's in Newton, and since it was potluck and they were looking for bags of chips, we donated a flat of small bags of Wise chips which I'd picked up at work. Wonky sleeping last night, but I got up around ten a.m. and got a start on my laundry, of which I had two weeks' worth to get done. Which meant the washing machine and drier went all afternoon, more or less; this included sheets that wanted cleaning and other necessities. But! Dental appointment this morning, and since the few sidewalks on Main Street are still largely buried under snow, I decided to take the bus there, which got me there early, but it gave me a chance to read from the Magnificat magazine and, since I tapped into the WiFi from the Thai restaurant next door, to download all my books back onto the Kindle.
