Another mostly writing week

No hours till the end of the week, so today and the next three days will be writing days. Started some of the edits on the Dunwich Horror thing, which had its due date moved up. I've already cut one scene, which I think the readers will be smart enough to figure out from hints elsewhere, and am working on trimming another bit, also tightening up a few other weak spots.

Also started working on the M.R. James inspired thing based off a dream that I had some weeks ago. I've got the first section of it written, with a start on the next, though I need to spooky the first part a little bit more (though there's a hint of people being horrid to each other horror in it). I'm still mulling over the nature of the spook: is it demonic, or is it an elemental knocked awake by a storm?? I'm inclined toward the latter, since it'a more Jamesean, also not something one tends to see in Catholic fiction.

And! It's confirmed: My dad will be helping Heimlichs with their garden exhibit in the Boston Flower Show; the theme this year is "Season of Enchantment", so I'm looking forward to how people interpret that (hopefully in fantastical ways). I admit, this has been a long winter even for me, and I find myself welcoming this respite from it.
