Last month: Went to the Pet Expo down behind the Orange Curtain. Saw lots of dog rescues, lots of chiuahuas, some cat rescues and show cats.  Saw a cat agility course.  The cat got bored halfway through and just sat down.  Bought an expensive cat bed that the cats are ignoring ( Read more... )

Went to see Zootopia last Friday.  Not much I can say that hasn't already been said by everyone else.  I did get a bit of deja vu with the story, however.  Let's see-- policeman hired as a token, assigned to a useless department, antagonistic boss, smart sidekick, breaks the major case that is terrorizing the city-- sound a bit like a comic I wrote ( Read more... )

Fun news first off-- the car has broken down.  It's currently in the shop and needs $500 worth of repairs, which include a new radiator and thermostat.  Even though I have a few outstanding commissions I'm still working on, I'll need to take on more to help cover this bill.  So if anyone had some stuff they wanted me to do, please let me know ASAP ( Read more... )

Today I actually decided to do something interesting and go meet Tracy, Brian and Samantha at Malibu Lagoon.  Hilights of that trip include rescueing stranded sea hares and catching a ton of kelp flies to feed the mantises.  Of course, the one day out of like 2 weeks I leave Santa Clarita, there's a huge brush fire on the 5 freeway which horribly ( Read more... )

Dealer's Room applications are open for FC today.  This time they're doing a juried selection like Rainfurrest, but I have a bit more confidence in them being able to do it properly, rather than the nepotistic clusterfuck that was Rainfurrest's selection process.
