Rainfurrest announced dealer's room sign-up again.  Having been chased out of Seattle due to bad behavior of the attendees, they're apparently setting up shop in Spokane.  That kills any ability to go to the con for me-- the only way I could afford to attend was it being in Seattle, where I had crash space and wouldn't need to pay for a hotel, and ( Read more... )

Today I actually decided to do something interesting and go meet Tracy, Brian and Samantha at Malibu Lagoon.  Hilights of that trip include rescueing stranded sea hares and catching a ton of kelp flies to feed the mantises.  Of course, the one day out of like 2 weeks I leave Santa Clarita, there's a huge brush fire on the 5 freeway which horribly ( Read more... )
