I made it to St. Louis a few hours ago. There is something I must report to you all.

THERE WAS AN ELVIS IMPERSONATOR ON MY FLIGHT.

It was awesome. I mean, he wasn't doing an act or anything, but he had the Elvis hairstyle, a button-up shirt open halfway down, and a huge belt buckle. It HAD to be intentional. I think he was on the way to

I'm weird I know, but I LOVE THUNDERSTORMS and we rarely get them here, it seems. One thing I remember about Tennessee summers is the thunderstorms that break almost daily to relieve the heat (but not the humidity, unfortunately).

This is an interesting data set documenting depression in adults as a function of job title (and gender). Surprisingly (?) if you work in the sciences, you are the least likely to have major depressive episodes. The breakdown by gender is also very interesting. I can't stop giggling as I read the wikipedia article about my lab. On the sidebar, the style of the architecture is described as "adorably ugly". So true! It does look like a little troll in a campus full of gothic beauty.

This day has seemed sooooo long! I woke up at 9:00 am only to find that it was actually 8:00 am thanks to daylight savings time.

Today I have:

• taken Rosie for a nice, long, walk.
• bought new pillows! They are so fluffy that they won't fit under my chin when I'm putting the pillowcases on.
