I was glad for my ICU experience last night. Sometimes, you just have that little niggling feeling, about a patient. I was also glad for working at a teaching hospital, too, with residents around to call the shots. Soo much easier than calling an attending at home ( Read more... )

I've been informed that if I don't get to the beach by 11am today I am getting voted off the island. Yup. Deported from Florida. For not taking advantage of the beautiful weather and breeze!

What a beyootiful day.. I woke early again, and today kept my promise to go the beach around sunrise one of these days. It often seems to be Sunday when I do this, so I guess I can claim "I attended sunrise services today!" I was having a nice ocean swim, or starting to, anyway. The waves were about two feet and I was swimming backwards, meaning on my back, using my fins to get out past the wave breaking zone.
