Sleepy Saturday
I was glad for my ICU experience last night. Sometimes, you just have that little niggling feeling, about a patient. I was also glad for working at a teaching hospital, too, with residents around to call the shots. Soo much easier than calling an attending at home.
But, tired and sore. Feels like there is ground glass in my knees. Drinking loads of green tea today helped. I'm going to see my buddy Roger for an energy treatment soon.
I slept hard today. It's raining, windy, seas are 6-8 feet just from our area storms, never mind the global stuff that's happening. Hard not to worry fiercely for those affected by Gustav, presently and in the next couple days. If you pray, or send reiki, please remember all those in both the Caribbean and the Gulf States in your thoughts.
I kept waking up watching Blue Planet, which is a very cool show on Discovery. Especially today, they were pretty much all shows about The Great Barrier Reef area, coral spawning, the jellyfish, the mating habits of different creatures on the reef. There was one species, I don't recall which one, they have foreplay for two hours before actually doing the deed. Now that is cool.
