Ruthie is extremely excited to be participating in a program called Jumpstart this year. This is a program whereby college students are paired up with preschool students to do one-on-one tutoring and such, with various activities designed to help the kids learn and prepare them for kindergarten. So today was Ruthie's last day at daycare, and tomorrow she starts her new preschool. I feel weird about it all. On the one hand she's been at this daycare two years, and even when you've had as much trouble with a place as I've had there, you still form attachments which are hard to leave behind. Today is Isaac's preschool graduation day! I was planning to take Ruthie to daycare so that I could give Isaac my full attention during the party and ceremony. But, today Ruthie is a little sick -- very hoarse, very snotty, ever-so-slightly warm to the touch. So I think on the whole it's best to bring her along to graduation.
