I have the flu.

I haven't the flu in probably 10 years. The occasional cold, OK, but not the flu. I actually had to google flu symptoms in order to confirm it. But:

Well, Mom's out of her surgery, and the doctors are all saying that it went really well. I'm going to see about getting a hotel room somewhere (within a short cab ride from the hospital, I hope) in Charlottesville; Dad's going to drive home to take care of the dog and come back tomorrow ( Read more... )

Just so y'all know, I won't be here much for a while. I was in a bike accident on Thursday morning, and got my leg run over by a semi. I'm home from the hospital -- as of about two hours ago -- and I'm OK, though still in a lot of pain. I took a nose-dive onto the pavement in the New Yard today.
