Well, Mom's out of her surgery, and the doctors are all saying that it went really well. I'm going to see about getting a hotel room somewhere (within a short cab ride from the hospital, I hope) in Charlottesville; Dad's going to drive home to take care of the dog and come back tomorrow.

She's conscious, but still pretty woozy and not feeling great. But, after all, she did just get her insides rearranged.
