Did you know that in Michigan, summer starts in mid-March?  I didn't either, but apparently it's so.  Yesterday I wore a long sleeve shirt (with two sleeveless shirts layered, but my usual has been two sweaters and a long sleeve shirt so that was pretty light) and pants and when I walked out the door it was HOT.  I had to stick to the shade ( Read more... )

*singsong* Lys may have just obtained her annual bee sting~ while working in the vegetable garden! I didn't notice a bee at all, but suddenly one of my toes kinda hurt (at a single point, not just in general). Out of nowhere, I suddenly had this intense craving for a nectarine. Oh summer, I miss you already!! I do have a couple persimmons, though (they're 3/$2 at the grocery store, but I found 6 for 73¢ in a marked down package the other day! it was the luckiest day ever). It is getting warmer in Michigan! Today was in the mid-80s and humid, and it appears the rest of the week will follow that pattern.
