Egads, January is already a third over. It's high time to talk about ( resolutions. )

Last year I made some resolutions. Let's see how that went. ( 2006 resolution review )

Everything's all official now, so I can talk about it here: At the beginning of March, I'll be leaving my job at Yahoo! in order to focus on writing full-time. This is something I've been dreaming about for a long while and seriously planning for months, and I'm extremely excited that now it's actually happening. ( More details )

And... check. I just completed the first draft of Falling Apart. Let me rephrase that. I JUST COMPLETED THE FIRST DRAFT OF FALLING APART!!!!! Thanks to laurenhat for cheering me along to the finish line. More later. I'm off to celebrate.

In 2006, I plan to post to LiveJournal more consistently and frequently than I did in 2005. Most of my posts will be more interesting than this one.

In recent years, I haven't kept track of the books I read in any easily referenceable way (it's in my paper journal, which lacks a search feature), so I can't say with any certainty how many books I read last year, but it was probably fewer than 10. ( Read more about reading more. )
