My 31st birthday was low on excitement, as I was anticipating, but it was very pleasant and relaxing. ( details )

Thanks to everyone who told me I should take some time to relax. That made it a lot easier to spend most of today lazing around. I didn't do any writing, but I spent a bunch of time thinking about The Overworld. I figured out several important things about the plot and the order of events to come in the story.

I've had a week and a half now of not going to work. I'm going to skip over the part where I discuss and make excuses for how long it's been since I've updated, and go straight into an update. ( My relaxing week on the Mendocino coast )

Today is a holiday from work, and I'm celebrating by sitting on my ass. I made a long list of things to do, and the only one that requires getting off my ass, as well as the only one that isn't mainly enjoyable, is laundry.
