( G1 win and laptop hinge fail )

Those of you who have been to a write-in with me know that I bring a very long wind-up extension cord so I can plug my laptop in even when the outlet is far away. It gets comments and admiring looks pretty much every time. Today's was the best, though: "She's going to go mow the lawn."

I've been meaning to post an update for two weeks, and I keep not getting around to it, which means I keep having more to say. So, your waiting (which I just know you've been doing, with bated breath) is rewarded with a plethora of thrilling (fascinating? mildly entertaining? not entirely dull?) ( notes and photos. )
