I guess my mom went in for a mammogram on her spring break, and they found microcalcifications. Depending on the pattern, microcalcifications can be precancerous. They're too small to biopsy yet, so they want her to come back in six months. I had the most horrible time trying to get to sleep last night. I crawled into bed at 12:10 and lay there for another hour. I had 5 blankets on and though that's been plenty warm enough for the past 2 months, last night I could not get warm. My feet were cold and though I curled up into a ball I still felt chilled. My old dog Sherman falls up the stairs more and more often these days. He's on the highest dose of Rimadyl (canine NSAIDS) twice a day and getting glucosamine supplements in his food and his hips are just shit. Apparently while I was at work today the doctor called (I had an exam and thyroid test Thursday) and said my results were normal. There's currently some controversy about what constitutes a normal range these days (the most recent recommendations are for a narrower range of normal), so once I have my numbers in hand I can look and see which range ( Read more... )
