The first film we watched yesterday was Danny Boyle's latest, 127 Hours, starring James Franco. The film had premiered the night before, so we didn't know if there would be a Q&A afterward, but, indeed, director Boyle did do a Q&A ( Read more... )

Yesterday's first screening was Beginners, directed by Mike Mills (Thumbsucker). The film starred Ewan McGregor, Christopher Plummer, and Melanie Laurent. Plummer plays Hal. His wife of 44 years has died. He is 75 years old and decides it's time to come out of the closet. This is, of course, a revelation to his son Oliver, played by McGregor. Hal ( Read more... )
