Way back in November I mentioned that I joined my dance teacher and another student for my first paying belly dance gig! A local church was hosting a Bethlehem Inn Night and we did a four minute dance segment during the production. It was set up as a dinner theater event that retold the story of the birth of Jesus. We had our Halloween party at work today. Employees brought their kids in and they trick or treated around the office. We had food, music, and a costume contest for the adults. It was a great time! I was also happy because I got to wear my super easy and inexpensive costume. I dressed up as...

Well, another year of The Northern California Renaissance Faire has come and gone. I went to site yesterday to help with the final touches of tear down for my guild. These past few days have definitely been better than my Christmas Eve was. I spent Christmas Day with Alex and his family. I look forward to going over to spend the day with them every year. We exchange gifts, spend time with his extended family, and share good food.

Haley and I went over to visit Mom and John for an early Christmas Eve dinner. Although I'm glad we went, it sort of made for a depressing start to the holiday season. I can not catch a break this week. It appears that the winter cold and flu season has officially hit, and I was given a double dose. Lucky me. Last Sunday hight I started to feel the signs of getting sick and by Monday it was officially a full blown case of something awful. I took Tuesday off from work and slept for an entire 16 hours. I'm back from the Midwest! I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I had a nice time visting my step mothers relatives in Chicago. It was very flat. And cold. Pretty different from California, lol.
