Despite Little Man feeling ill, we wanted to kick-start our Advent celebration by putting up our Christmas tree. We also hoped it would help him feel better after the tummy bug he managed to pick up on our Thanksgiving travels.

I'm doing the final unpacking in the kitchen/dining room area today. My cookbooks are settled in on the baker's rack and a couple of pictures are hung on the wall. It looks very cozy and is feeling more like home ( Read more... )

We moved to Minneapolis! We found a 3 BR apartment for nearly twice what we were paying for a duplex in rent - and it's CHEAP up here. Egad, I don't know that I'll ever get accustomed to the price difference in housing ( Read more... )

Had our first ER visit today - little Skig fell on his face and busted his nose on a thinly carpeted concrete floor. He cried for a couple of minutes, had a minor nosebleed, but to be sure he'd be okay, we took him up to Des Moines to the ER ( Read more... )
