ER visit =(

Had our first ER visit today - little Skig fell on his face and busted his nose on a thinly carpeted concrete floor. He cried for a couple of minutes, had a minor nosebleed, but to be sure he'd be okay, we took him up to Des Moines to the ER.

They were very quick at the Children's hospital to get him in and looked at - I think we were in and out in about an hour. Everyone was pleasant except the check-out lady. She had to ask all the state questions and insurance questions, and phone number. And she acted like she didn't believe that he'd fallen in the church in front of everyone. -.-'

Being as wound as I am, I do wonder... I breastfeed. We co-sleep (though I think we're taking back a toddler bed tomorrow). We still have boxes around from our move. If Child Protective Services ever were called... I don't know if we'd pass. We don't vaccinate. Quelle horreur! (probably butchered, but ey.) I think she was really squicked about that.

Bad AP parents, we are. -.-' I feel like I shouldn't have taken him in the first place... but better safe than sorry. If it's not normal when the swelling goes down, then we get to take him back to the doctor. Blah.

That's it. Staying an extra day at the 'rents house trying to get photos edited. Gaaaah. cacopheny, we may not be around tonight because of it.

skig, angst, medicine
